Before I went to bed last night, I noticed fog rolling in. Knowing that the warm up in temps filled the air with moisture and the temperatures destined to drop, I suspected we would have hoarfrost covering this morning.
I got up early, in fear that the sun would come out and melt any frost.
I don't have an official macro lens, so I used my trusty 40-150 2.8 pro lens and set the camera to macro mode. I went out before breakfast to give that a test run.
I was pleasantly surprised by the results on a gloomy day.
Later I will be posting more beautiful images of the lovely winter hoarfrost in Minnesota, as I suspect I will be spending Super Bowl Sunday capturing it's finery.
