FRESH -The Inner Child

Photoblog365 Theme: Fresh

This morning I had a vivid dream.

I saw a beautiful olive skinned, ethnic girl dressed in brilliantly cheerful colors with lovely bouncing curls and skin so radiant she looked like an angel.

As I watched her, I could see that her joy was boiling up from inside her which fluidly propelled her in dance-like motion across a beautiful beach scene.

As she passed in front of me, she stopped and-with her sparkling eyes-gave me an intense look of recognition, smiled a huge smile and inquired "Laurie, is that YOU?"

Surprised, I looked closer and faintly recognized her, but could not retrieve from my mind where we had previously met.

I knelt to the ground and said "I thought that was you!", "Can I have a hug?"

She plunged forward and embraced me with such joy and love it vibrated through every cell of my body-it felt as if she broke an old shell-and I was emerging to vibrant life!

Without speaking, she told me that she knew I hardly recognized her, because she is my "Inner Child".

She said, "It has been a long time since we played, but it's o.k., because I am now "fully awake" and have risen from my deep slumber".

She thanked me for "waking her and letting her out to play" and as she kissed me with a scented kiss-she vaporized-

as I awoke in marvel, awe, and wonder..that I still feel her presence!

This picture is a sorry attempt to show how she makes me feel.

Thank you!
No matter how one tries, it always seems to fall short of the actual experience!
