One HAPPY boy!

One HAPPY boy!

I was introduced to photography at about 10 years of age, as I watched a photograph come to life in the chemical bath of a darkroom. It was a magical moment that hooked me to photography for life!

I am determined to provide that opportunity to the children around me with creative interests!

If you have some gear laying around-unused- give it to a child with creative interests and watch them SOAR!

I am always amazed at how they can figure out the "bells and whistles" of technology faster than I can! Technology that seems complicated to most adults, seems completely intuitive to the children!

What a great post Laurie! The photos are outstanding and I believe you are fortunate to have grand kids who take after you as far as photography. Kudos to you for introducing them early in life smile

And here you are going gangbusters!

I agree, I get a lot of JOY out of seeing my grandchildren create!
2 of my other grand girls love VIDEO!
So don't ya just love the little one thinking he is taking my portrait with the tripod?
I told him he was a good photographer and he said "Grandma, I'm NOT a photographer, I am a BOY with a camera!"

I love kids at that young age when exploration is still fun to them. So much wonder and awe that they see in the world .
