They are my favorite!
Luckily, we have a lake behind our house and I can hear the haunting call of loons through my window at night! I love it-especially on a full moon!

I'm thinking that number 4 is a modification of photo number 2. Not too sure about num 3.

Good guess, but I'll reveal that it has nothing to do with the first photo.
Thanks for guessing-smile

#3 is a shadow wrapping around the corner of a fence and taken on the snow.

Gorgeous photos!!  I love loons but haven't had the opportunity to photograph one.  I grew up in Minnesota.  The 3rd photo is a piece of wood?  showing the center splintering away??

Thanks Jennifer!
Loons were rare around here for many years (I don't recall seeing any as a child)
They are now making a comeback!
I rarely see any close enough to photograph, unless I am swimming (without camera of course).
Good guess, I'll see if other's give it a guess, before I reveal it!

I am going to guess a feather but honestly it looks kind of like a shadow of either a leaf or feather . Either way it is a cool shot.
