Peter's recent posts are inspiring me to take more Low Key Dark Photography photos.
This series is of a woodcarving made for me by my late stepfather. Like him, it is treasured, so I keep it up high where the cats can't reach it.
I took it down from the shelf to discover it covered in cobwebs. Time for deep spring cleaning! I couldn't resist taking the shot as found, as the sculptures leg positions suggest he is trying to get out of a snare.
This series was taken in ambient light streaming through the window.
I had been taking pictures of sunsets and left my aspect ratio set to 16:9 and forgot to change it back. The tall image is 16:9 aspect ratio, and I rather like it, so I'll probably be experimenting with 16:9 ratio in other things besides landscape.
Thanks Peter, I will continue to join in you in dark photography posts!
