Playing in Puddles

Yesterday the Robins arrived at our house. I heard their call through the window. When I looked out I saw them playing along the edge of a puddle in our yard.

I grabbed my camera to get a shot, and just when they entered the water, a group of rowdy Grackles showed up and took over the scene.

Then I looked out the side window and saw the neighbors playing in the puddles on the street corner and shot these through my window...

Later I went for a walk down at the river and saw an oak leaf playing in a puddle...

As I was returning to my truck, I was following a bunch of hikers who walked through the puddles and took this picture as I was walking...

So I guess it's a motion blurred motion blur photo with subject and photographer moving- lol

Well, when I find myself taking pictures of puddles, it's time for some NEW LIFE!
Once in a while we hit the nail on the head (usually when we aren't even aiming). ;-)

I am always glad to see them! They are my first true sign that spring is here to stay!
They don't arrive until the cold is past!
