About Laurie Lee Madsen Photography
Being the youngest of 6, my older siblings had to drag me along to "Dark Room Club" after school. As a mere 4th grader, they birthed in me--a lifelong passion for photography--as I watched mesmerized while my first 35mm print magically came alive in the chemical bath of our high school's dark room.
My transition to digital was a reluctant one, but I am now enjoying the supreme advancements of the digital realm of photography. Always trying to hone my photography skills, I prefer to try to master my camera rather than spend time editing photos.
I started a local camera club and gave free lessons to interested students, many of which moved on to become serious photographers.
Being captivated by LIFE, I shoot many genres of photography including macro, still life, panoramas, portraiture, landscape, birding, and nature.
Experimental photography intrigues me and the abundance of programmable features in digital camera's make experimentation possibilities almost endless...
