PhotoBlog was started in 2006 as a place for photographers to create photoblogs. We believe that every photo has a story. The goal of our main platform is to help you create and share your photo stories.
Why This Blog?
When we first started the Learn blog in 2016, the goal was to produce in-depth photography tutorials and gear reviews that our members can use to take their photography to the next level.
Our Editorial Process
Over the years, we have built an amazing team of photography and technical writers who are either professional photographers or advanced amateurs. Our articles are written by authors who have in-field experience about the subject matter or the gear they are reviewing.
We take pride in the fact that our reviews and tutorials are done independently and solely based on product performance. We do not accept money or other gifts in exchange for reviews or ratings.
Companies do send us products for review on their own or by our request. We always return these products after the review or testing period is done.
PhotoBlog is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, which allows us to earn a small fee when customers purchase products through our product links. However, all products pay the same commission percentage and, therefore, does not affect our review selection criteria.
Ramesh Yahathugoda started the Learn blog under the PhotoBlog brand in 2016. His love for photography began when he went on a hiking trip to Alberta’s Banff national park. He has more than 10 years of experience shooting nature and landscape photography, and he is a member of Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC).
His passion is to help others become better photographers. He shares photography knowledge and reviews camera gear on PhotoBlog’s official blog to achieve that goal. Check out his travel photography blog here.
