Mohammed Arif, 10 years old.
He is an innocent and bright child with a constant smile on his face unaware of the fact that his aspirations are being exploited in the wrong hands of the society. Child labor is pure evilness and a shame for the society.
His day starts with buying cigarettes and tea for his owner which is followed by working for seven hours.
He is too young to understand that he is a victim of poverty, lack of education, lack of knowledge of one’s rights and cultural traditions.
When asked if he is attending school? He says, with a bright smile and shining eyes that yes I am he was portraying all that childishness still present in him even though he does the work of adults. Well, children’s do not really know how to differentiate between imagination and reality.
Will he realize that his imagination will always be a dream? Will he still have that attractive smile and pure eyes which can look at the world as he does now when he knows the reality of his life? Or will he take a wrong path as a form of hatred? Is this what kills the child in a person as they grow up to be adults? Will there be a change if we just take pictures and do nothing about it?
SHOW A CHILD LOVE AND CARE, CHILD LABOR IS JUST NOT FAIR.
The answers lie with how we react to it. All the children deserve a childhood; help the needy by STOPPING THE GREEDY.
