I chose to post these photos today for the topic of green because the color green was the reason why I took the picture. I remember that moment vividly still today. Each time it was a remarkable, brilliant color which surprised me and I wanted to capture it the way I experienced it.
I'm curious which "green" appeals to you.
Photo #1 is the origin of the Loisach river in Austria, that is, where the water for the river comes out of the ground. At first it's a shallow pool which is covered in algae before it flows down the mountain to become a river.
Photo #2 is a stone marker covered in moss in the Odenwald forest near Heidelberg, Germany.
Photo #3 has so many different shades of green: the bright green of the sea grass, the dark emerald green of the lake with sparkling reflections of the sunshine, the literally forest green of the trees on the shoreline and the soft greens of the meadows on the shoreline. I was overwhelmed that it was all green.
In Photo #4 the dark canyon walls near the Narrows gave fantastic contrast to the bright green of the leaves on the tree.
