Rain (113/365)

Downpour lit by the setting sun

Downpour lit by the setting sun

The heavy downpour appears pink because the light of the setting sun is reflected on the sheet of rain.

Otherwise it's pretty hard to capture rain itself, usually I can only capture the remnants once it hits a window or the ground.

Thank you! I got lucky with the downpour in March. I just walked out my front door and snapped it just in time

Interesting rain photo.  What we usually see here is a similar view but gray rather than pink.  I suspect it may have something to do with our valley foothills as the backdrop.

Thanks Bob! In your blogs you've been mentioning that you don't get much rain and are going through a drought, thus today's topic must have been difficult to capture for you
