I couldn't decide which photo I liked better. What do you think?

Is photo #1 technically considered a lens flare?

I'll be on vacation the next two weeks and will try to keep up with the daily challenge. I upgraded to pro and have scheduled some of the blogs to be published on the day they are due.

For some reason they are being published immediately. Can anyone help?

thank you Bethany, I really appreciate the feedback to hear that it evokes emotions I seldom achieve that or I don’t know

Both are great. I generally don't like symmetry or something in the center of the image, but it works perfectly in image #1. The image has an incredibly beautiful feel to it. Well done.

thank you Heidi, I feel the same way about putting the focus in the middle but the other captures which were off center just didn’t look as good

Great shots, love them both!  Based on the definition, you captured lens flare in both images.

First of all I LOVE #1. It is a SUPERB photo. Don't know if it is counted as lens flare or not but the framing and the light are really really nice.

I use the scheduling post.  You have to keep in mind that it posts based on international times and not on location. For example if I want something to be posted tomorrow morning, I use the calendar set the date for 4/29 and the time for 12:03 am ( mind you it is 4/28 here right now) I have found if I don't use the "time" the post will show up. Hope this helps.

Thanks Camellia - In photo #1 I placed the tree in the center of the frame which breaks some composition rules, but I think it looks best that way.
Thanks for the tip with scheduling, I've tried setting the posting time to 7AM and I guess that's now working  since I've prepared most of the posts for during my vacation and it seems they are not visible yet.

Thank you Peter! I think we've figured it out now, I need to set a time in addition to date

I don't know what the answer to your question is, but I like #1 best.

HI Bob, thanks a lot. I wonder why it got published when I scheduled it for April 28th? I just upgraded to pro and was trying out the scheduling function prior to my vacation.

I've seen a couple of other cases like this, and others have told me that the site just doesn't work well for scheduling posts.

Hmmm I‘ll see what happens tomorrow if that one gets posted as scheduled
