Fortunately this fruit happens to grow nearby my house and was in season when it was on the 365 photoblog calendar.

Some farmers don't harvest the wild cherries - they leave them for literally the birds and the bees - others sell them at the local produce market.

Cherry trees are planted alongside grain fields to attract insects for pollenation.

Over the course of several weeks, I took almost 100 photos of cherries, their blossoms and the trees. I realized it's not so easy to get creative captures.

Thanks Jay! Actually,  due to stomach issues, I cannot eat most fruit, only bananas and melon so it was somehow easier to focus on the subject in a "documentary" way, if you know what I mean?
