Path (194/365)

The path along the Rhine River in Germany is about a five minute drive / 10 minute bike ride from my house.

The upper path is usually used by people walking on their own, whereas the path near the river is used by cyclists, people with children and/or baby strollers and dog walkers.

It's particularly beautiful in the fall. I avoid the path in the summer because of the masses of mosquitos.

I experience a special mood / atmosphere / feeling - the German word is "Stimmung" - when I walk along the path at sunset.

Thank you Ann, I appreciate the feedback on which one you liked best, that is very helpful for me with choice on composition. Yes, I do consider myself fortunate to be here.

Such a beautiful location. This is on my... Who I am kidding Germany and Austria are both on my bucket list. I think if I ever made it to Germany I would have a hard time leaving.

Thank you! and Russell if you do come to visit, let me know and I can help you to plan your trip. The nice part about this region of Germany is that there isn't snow - the Rhine river (also the Moselle river) creates what is called a "micro-climate" which is ideal for wine because it is warmer/milder than other parts of Germany without being too hot.

Beautiful captures! “Stimmung” is the feeling I get walking along the beach which is 10 minutes from where I live. Also, my extended family lives in Wiesbaden.😍

Thank you for the compliment and for joining my blog! I would love to live near a beach, I just love the sound of the waves and the way the light is always changing the colors on the waters.
That is very interesting that you have relatives in Wiesbaden - that is about 1,5 hours away from where these photos were taken.  Do you ever visit them?

Thanks Jay! Yes, it is a lovely setting. Sometimes big tanker ships and tourist cruise ships pass by, other times its very tranquil. Last year there was very little water in the Rhine, due to the drought, perhaps I'll post those photos someday.

Thank you! I didn't realize that the photos weren't shown correctly? On my laptop and ipad I don't need to rotate, thanks for letting me know.

Your photos are all correct.
I rotate the monitor just for seeing an entire image (taller images) on one screen.
