Passageway with pattern reflected on the floor - black & white

A few months ago on a Saturday, I went back into the office just for this photo shooting. During the working week, this passageway is filled with people so I couldn't capture the effect.

The glass walls are tinted green so this is not a Fujifilm over-enhancement.

The floor is completely covered with the pattern from the glass walls only at noon and only for maximum of 30 minutes. The pattern slowly forms and then recedes and most of the time, there is no pattern on the floor.

During the shooting I didn't have a specific goal - I thought of all of the upcoming 365 challenge topics: polka-dots, pattern, on the floor, shadow, reflection, perhaps in the future passageways....

There were so many fascinating effects with the reflection and shadows, I really enjoyed the photo shooting and I hope you enjoy the result.

Thanks Russell for the comments which tell me it was worth the effort to go into the office on a day off just to capture it

I love these! Shadows are so interesting with geometric shapes like these. I have "shadows" for my theme in my class this week, and how I wish I could find a place like this to shoot. smile Thank you for the inspiration!

Thanks Bethany! Perhaps there needs to be a "take-a-photographer-to-work day" just like "take-your-daughter-to-work day" and similar... smilesmile
Good luck with your class. I'm curious, is it online or in-person? I'm thinking about something like that for next year.

That is a brilliant idea! smile I'm in!
My class is in-person. One of the local universities has a certificate program, so I've been working my way through that and really enjoy it. It has been very helpful for learning my camera in more depth. The instructor takes the time to show us all the different settings/features and what they are for, even when everyone has different cameras. The only bad thing is he is always showing us cool gadgets and accessories that make me want to spend more money! laughing

You truly are someone who plans ahead smile  Very cool patterns  and that walkway is definitely one that lends itself to shooting.

Thanks Camellia ! While planning ahead is definitely the trait that makes me successful as a project manager, it‘s also necessary to be able to post everyday given my schedule.
