There are no children or grandchildren in my life, so this topic was a real challenge because I don't have any accessories to set the scene for an age-appropriate composition.

Initially, I thought it might be fun to capture him in the style of the genre "boudoir photography" . The results were silly or sick depending, so I'm not sharing them. No. Don't bother to plead, because I deleted the files.

Plan B: practice portrait photography some more.

He's held up so well over decades because for one, his fur is real sheep's wool and his paws and nose are made of leather; and secondly, I treated him more like a doll.

Teddy Bears are special. My third son still has his bear after 20 years. We bought it for him at Yellowstone Nat'l Park at the Old Faithful geyser gift shop. He named it "Geyser Bear" and its been stuffed and restuffed and sewn so many times from extensive love. I enjoyed your post.

Thanks, Lee. You've made me smile again with your wise old bear. I can go to bed now feeling sweet and relaxed.
