This week's 52 frames assignment was fast shutter speed. Today's blogpost is a "outtake" from a shooting which didn't qualify for that topic.
All week I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to find something to capture with a fast shutter. At first I tried to capture butterflies. I'm stupid. Neither me nor my camera is good enough for insects. I need a LARGE subject not moving so fast... hmm... a horse!! That's it...
I remembered that nearby is an equestrian center with an outdoor jumping arena. I thought I might be able to capture some horses and their riders on a Friday afternoon. Or, perhaps just the horses running in their pastures. No luck. Empty arena, empty pasture. The horses were in the barn. Are the horses in quarantine? Probably not, but maybe their owners are.
Across the street from the horse farm is an ostrich farm. I had to stand in the doorframe of my SUV in order to get up high enough to shoot over the fence.
I thought these funny looking birds might brighten your day. ...That's all folks! :-)
