Day 8: Nambucca to Kempsey

A great map!

A great map!

Woke up today feeling strong and ready to go after a chilled day prior (and after 3 weetbix/ banana combo- breakfast of champs some might say).

Cycled on down the A1. Google maps hasn't been updated with the new road works down the coast so the planned meeting spot had to be rearranged and I did the total distance in one.

Distance: 40.5 miles / 65kms

Another beautiful winter day. Blue skies and warm sun.

In Kempsey, I went to 'bike shop' to find it had been closed down for two years (nice one google..strike 2 ). Luckily the canoe shop next door had a keen mountain biker who could help solve the random bump in my back wheel.

Been hanging out at Dondingalong tonight. Great to be with family friends and be in remote countryside on the Macleay River.

Highlight: group of wallabies jumping and cows out grazing in the evening sun.

Lowlight: squished snake on the hardshoulder and saying bye to Saul
