Pit stop en route

Another short day! I've started to realise my route planning was somewhat questionable...

Distance: 31 miles / 50 kms

Waking up to the tranquility of sunrise in Dondingalong & a warm brew in the 7 degree cold was perfect. The early morning training sessions prior to the trip set my body clock nice and early. Definitely worth it to see the sunrises!

On the road to Port Macquarie Backpackers with a quick stop for snacking. Support car was ultra efficient bringing Gatorade, banana and great sandwich. Blue skies and relatively warm. My cold weather cycling wear isn't quite up to scratch.. hopefully it doesn't get colder.

In Port Mac I loaded up on veggies in my fight against scurvy that comes with an all calamari and chips and pasta diet. Visited the Koala Hospital & got weird looks when I asked if koala chlamydia could be passed onto humans...

Highlights: warm shower

Lowlights: freezing toes
