Headed off phone-less and supposedly meeting Joseph at a random hostel who was flying into Newcastle to support car me for the last couple of days.
All went well, including an obligatory scones stop en route, until the first puncture struck. The rain had stopped by this point so I was feeling positive and confident in my skills to replace the inner tube and be on my way.
4 punctures later...my positivity was waning
This is when I heard an almighty call from across the motorway. I looked up to see Joseph waving out of his car and the tears nearly struck with relief that I had been found...
We decided to mark the place where I had finally stopped and called it a day. We headed to Norah Headland to get a much needed coffee and to gain a bit of perspective.
Thank god for that extra spare inner tube. and thank god for older brothers.
