How Tall Is The Waterfall?

by Larry Nelson March. 24, 2012 2268 views

The girls are about 20 feet up the last part of the waterfall, making the last part of the waterfall 40 feet. Higher up, the fall turns twice, and is 70 feet from top to the bottom.

Wow - that's one of those occasions when it really pays to include the human element to give a sense of scale!

Wow, the addition in the shot of the girls really gave the falls some perspective!! I find waterfalls hard to shoot for just that reason! Super idea and shots, Larry!

Beautiful Larry! Having the girls in that second shot makes all the difference in judging the height of the water falls.

I like how the water at the last drop looks like strands of spun silver - very wispy as it hits its final plunge! What great details you captured in the rocks, too!
