Streets of Guanajuato, Mexico

by Larry Nelson April. 12, 2012 1972 views

Guanajuato is a city high in a mountain valley. The streets are very narrow, sometimes not much more than alleys. Many of the main streets run underground throughout the city - some are old gold and silver mine passageways over 300 years old.

A car enters the underground street system.

This is one of the many walkways that lead down into the underground street system.

One way streets are common in the city.
