Photographic Technique Challenge: Wide Open!

by Larry Nelson August. 31, 2012 2488 views

The challenge this week was to shoot with the aperture at its widest opening (smallest f-stop number). This technique produces a shallow depth of field, blurring the background.
I shot these with my camera set on aperture priority (AV), set the aperture at f 1.4, and the camera determined the shutter speed for proper exposure.
Others who accepted the challenge are here. [photoblog.com]
