We arrived at Zion National Park from Mt. Carmel, traversing a series of “switch-backs” and a mile-long tunnel to get to the incredible 3,000 foot high walls of the canyon! “Checkerboard Mesa.” Big horn sheep we saw on the roar into Zion. The Virgin River runs through the Zion Canyon. This waterfall to the lower Emerald Pool flows stronger in the Spring than later in the year. A grazing mule deer. Virgin River flowing along the road. Towering cliffs above the Virgin River. Part of the path to the Emerald Pool. Vertical reflection. Horizontal reflection. A small waterfall. Returning from a horse ride tour of Zion near the Zion Lodge.
