Down in the city looking at birds and dragonflies and damselflies today. No, really, this is the city - there's just a rather rural-looking patch down by the Anacostia River.

Early morning at Kenilworth Park

Then we went to the Aquatic Gardens. All the flowers are out right now, so there were lots of other people there.

Flarz

I thought this scene looked like a Renoir or something.

Oh creepy!!! An abandoned mannequin on the mudflat! Eek!

No, not Greece - this is at the Arboretum

It was hot, so it was nice to lie on the marble floor in the shade of the columns and chill a bit. Then we went for tacos.

This is a fab series, amazing pics. Loved the 'painting'. You should get it framed!

It's totally like a Renoir. Or Monet?
Love the mannequin in mud shot.

Are you allowed to dance around those columns?
(I saw the Park Police breaking up the dancers at the Jefferson memorial).

Thanks you guys. lmao JenPat. And the mannequin did give me a start for a second, but thankfully the foot looks really obviously plastic.

#3 is fantastic. Looks like a wonderful day to be a mosquito in your neck of the woods.

So lovely - I especially like the lotus flowers and the "Renoir" painting. Beautiful!

that abandoned mannequin part is rather creepy.. it would have given me a chill if I saw it without any warning.
