Low Light Photography Technique

This is my first attempt at the challenge and I am not happy with the results but it's just one more thing I can add to my list of: “to work on”

I don't know if this will show up, but here are the settings:

Pentax x90
F-Stop: f/2.8
Exposure: 2 seconds
ISO speed: 800
Exposure Bias: 0

This sucks. I took it in a completely dark room with the light of only 1 tea light candle.

truly, I think this was a very good attempt! can't wait next week to see what you will come with, since you've chosen a GORGEOUS technique in my opinion!^^

I like the glowy orange color...really gives the shot a warm feeling! Low light shooting is TOUGH to figure out....I struggled with my entry but wow, what a great learning experience it was!!

tripod? if not you really should use one with that exposure and set the camera on a timer so you aren't pushing the button at the time of the exposure... it's what I would do. :)
