Beach or Mountains? I'll take BOTH!

We headed down the coast today and hit 8 beaches and still and even made it into the mountains. I took 101 photos and I probably like about 90 of them. That's amazing for me.

Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach (of course)

In between these two huge rocks is the Tillamook Head Lighthouse (also at Cannon Beach) it's really hard to see- it's out there a ways.
If you don't enlarge any others, you should definitely enlarge this one

I zoomed and zoomed until I couldn't zoom anymore and the little focus guide thingy was jumping around like crazy, but this is the Tillamook Head Ligthouse at Cannon Beach as good as I could get it.

I never tire of the ocean. NEVER.
I LOVE THIS SONG TOO! [youtube.com]
PS, I think this one is worth enlarging.

I can never remember the name of this beach so when I want to go to it I tell Derek, “I want to go to ‘Dead Wood Beach’”
He knows what I mean. The whole beach is covered in drift wood.
Enlarge for graininess of cool wood.

The same beach.

Then we went into the mountains. There is a little bridge hidden over across there. (best enlarged) I almost fell off the cliff trying to get this shot. I had to fight my way through a bunch of brush and tree branches and the ground under my right foot gave way (very soft soil). But I managed to get the shot and not go swimming!

And this is an actual old water wheel. It looked so cool all weathered and stuff. I got it from a few angles, but can't post them all in one day.

Love #1 - McMommy is right on the money - the dog just makes that a wonderful capture - your zoom work worked well and despite your bleating about terrible trouble you went to to get #7 you have to admit it was worth the risks and you got a really nice capture as a result - worth a few broken bones and a soaking surely????
