Today we went to Waikiki Beach. Not the famous one, obviously.

We went to the Cape Disappointment lighthouse. On July 6, 1788, Captain John Meares sought shelter from a turbulent sea but to no avail. He named the cape, “Cape Disappointment.”

See the surfers???

Here's a close up. I think they're freakin nuts.

This one got me a little.

This one got me more. . . and my camera. Enlarge for maximum splashicity.

Pretty driftwood.

This pizza stand is at the beach. It was delicious.

Confluence doesn't sound very pleasant but I'm sure the pizza made up for it :)

Beautiful place. Beautiful shots. I don't think I would be surfing into rocks!
