I'm Trying

When I got to work this past Monday, these flowers were waiting for me. There was no note. I assume they are from Captain Curt but Captain Dan says I should chalk them up to a secret admirer. Lol.

Anyway, I am not very good at flowers but I am trying to get better. I have tried many settings, with a flash, without a flash, I dunno. I'll just keep experimenting.

They really were (still are) so pretty.

This one may actually be worth enlarging. I believe I got more detail in this one than in most of them.

No one seems to know for sure, but a few people have guessed this to be a dahlia. If it is then dahlias have moved to the top of my favorite flower list.

No clue what this purple stuff is either.

I'm pretty sure this is baby's breath. whatever it is, I love it.

Wow....bouquet full of fabulous color and I think you captured it very nicely, Feebs!! Can't beat secret admirers, especially if they fork over money for something like this! ;)))

Great exercise and a very good result. #2 is really detailed, as are the rest, but I also like the angle and the focal point in #7. Glad you shared your "happy" with us!

Lucky you! I believe that is a dahlia... they're very beautiful and come in every color and size imaginable! I have no photo suggestions since it's no secret that I rarely photograph flowers. :-))

I like the macros As TheBighush suggested the whole vase looks better with a plain background , less distraction.
A secret admirer or maybe it's your partner being secretive ??? whoever it is, gallantry is not dead which is rather nice .
