Sunset on the Beach

  • Posted Sept. 4, 2011 by Felecia Viewed 988 times

We went to the beach and watched the sunset tonight. It was beautiful as always.

I don't know why, I've had This song [youtube.com]stuck in my head.

It was really nice again, but something weird is going on.

Whenever I take a sunset photo and the sun isn't partially obscured by clouds, it gets this weird aura around it. It's nothing I do, it comes off the camera looking like this. I've tried on every setting and it still happens.

This was a beautiful sunset. The clouds in #1 are very cool looking. Great job capturing them;)

Sunset time all over the land! The ocean gives such a nice backdrop, much better than the Mississippi!

The way th elight shines through and reflects off of the clouds makes a beautiful capture.

#1 is terrific - that range of colours is unreal and the inclusion of a couple of figures adds that nice touch of scale and perspective

A touch of melancholia is to be expected as summer comes to an end, for all lovers of life and light.

Beautiful! I see the "aura" in the last one but not the first two. Don't know what to tell you. Because they all turned out well!! The one with the aura looks like a flower from the 70's. I'm sure you don't know what I'm talking about :)

You just keep doing what you're doing, if the results are like these! I put #2 in my faves because the layers of clouds and colors just go on forever! And I'm glad you identified the pelicans, because I noticed them right away!

Wow! These are simply stunning..love that rainbow of colors..stripes no less. Do you focus right on the sun? Sometimes it's better to shoot just to the side of it..Favored both of these..love the birds in the corner too..

Great shots. The aura is caused by the digital sensor in the camera. Not much you can do about it except try not to point the camera directly towards the sun.

I love that first shot Feby! Sunsets are really hard for a camera... the lens does interesting things but it never turns out like the reality. I've given up! :-)

mmm I missed this set... After 60 comments (sixty!!!) what can I add?
I love #2, I love the colors typical of all your photos.
It's enough, others have used all available adjective. Too late!
