Downtown Financial District…Cops & Cabs on Broadway. These things are there to prevent cars from driving down the streets that lead to the NY Stock Exchange. So, at first I was excited about passing by the New York Stock Exchange, while walking to the lot where I parked my car. Such an important institution. Then I thought about how what goes on inside those doors has affected all of our lives, one way or another. Making my experience bittersweet.(much better enlarged) So, I just marched on to the parking lot, enjoying the old and new architecture of lower Manhattan. Especially the old. That put me in a better mood. Driving along the FDR Drive, I headed North for the Brooklyn Bridge. Here you can also see the Manhattan Bridge in the background. They are both East River crossings - connecting downtown Brooklyn to Manhattan. So here are a few shots of the bridge, from the bridge.
