The O2 entertainment centre, known as the Dome from the Airline

My first trip across the River Thames from Royal Victoria Docks to Greenwich Peninsula was great fun, even though rather windy. I went with a group of photographer friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the views and photo opportunities provided from being so high.

Opened on the 28th of June 2012 and operated by Transport for London, it offers a cable car link as a hop on, hop off service across the Thames River. It describes itself as offering a unique view of London. What do you think? 😁

Yes because it's over the redevelopment of the Docklands area, there are none of the iconic London landmarks - apart from the Dome
