For his privacy I won't share his name but this lil boy has reallllly touched my heart. Ever since I arrived in Ensenada and started working with the skate ministry, I've seen this lil boy running around the skate park. He doesn't have his own skate board so I've always let him borrow mine and the kids a natural- if he had his own board thought he'd be much better. But I get excited to see what a natural he is. He asks me for food and water a lot so I bring him apples and bananas (except I think I'm going to take him to a gas station called OXXO next time I see him to treat him to a candy car because everyone likes junk food). Well I was watching him skate on my board a few days ago and it hit me. I knew what I had to do and to be honest I didn't want to do it. I LOVE skating and I love my skate board. But so does this kid. And I don't know his story or his background but his family might not be able to buy him a board. So I did something super hard- I gave him my board. Immediately I knew it was the right choice seeing how happy he was. It kind of sucks not having a skate board especially since it's so hard to find a place to buy skateboards in México but I know god will provide me another skateboard when the time is right. It was a very humbling experience. Everything I own is not mine but it is gods and everything god owns is mine. God was able to use something of mine to bless another and I'm ecstatic about it. Also I speak very bad Spanish and he doesn't speak English, so I find it amazing that I'm growing such a close friendship with this boy despite the language barrier. It shows gods grace and love. I wanted to share this story only in hopes that it inspires whoever is reading this. So reader, I don't know how this will affect you but i hope god speaks to you through it.
Very nice shot
