Yuan Xiao also means Chinese Lantern Festival. Today is the 15th day of the 1st lunar month and also marks the end of two week Chinese New Year celebrations. This is also the night where there is a full moon for the first time this year. There are thousands of bright lanterns hung out in streets, parks and in homes to celebrate this event. This one at home is the most unique one of all. Ally made this in class for their school parade. A very special lantern indeed!
