i prefer the first one, he looks like really being into the music. Not sure about that piece of gray sky.. perhaps a tighter crop would help.

It's not that "nobody was listening"....but the fact that "just a few STOPPED to listen" ... We don't have any excuse for loosing the ability to respond to beautiful things, I think it's our personal responsibility to discover and nurture it to give value to life...What else could be out there ? Our only meaning here in this world is to see and wonder.... and applaud.
That was his stage, I like how nicely he dressed for the occasion of his concerto ...He wanted to be "seen" as much as being "heard"....
A very touching picture and story.
Did you talk to him ?

      i'm glad you appreciated... :-)

paul watzlawik once said: "one cannot NOT communicate." maybe this guy was not playing for any other audience than himself. and even further maybe, he HAD to stand there and play because this was one wish on his bucket list? and you just happened to pass by and being drawn into his dream of the world by his music?

life is crazy - it's good if you're a little crazy, too. ;-)
