whom have i actually given birth to, among the millions of people on earth? a speck, a stalk of straw, a nothing… so vulnerable that even a bacterium - which is so tiny that it appears as insignificant dot also when thousandfold magnified - can kill it. but this little nothing is flesh and blood brother of the seawaves, of the storms and thunder, of the sun and the milky way… of the grass and oak, of the rainbow, of the sunflowers, of the seagulls and dolphins, of lion whelps. there is something in him that feels, percieves, investigates, suffers and endures, desires, loves, trusts, hates, believes, doubts, attracts and repulses… this tiny speck of dust embraces and grasps everything with its thoughts: the stars and the oceans, the mountains and fields… and what would be the sense of soul if not the entire universe?
