The Melting

A couple days after our last snowfall it warmed up considerably. It was a great chance to get out and take pictures of the melting snow.

There was a half-frozen puddle at the end of the driveway filled with pine needles. Tiny bubbles in the melted water underneath the ice were pushing their way upwards and as the ice melted they popped up to the surface.

Great set - there's nothing like water droplets to produce some great images!

The half-frozen ( or half-melted ) puddles got interesting shape and texture.

      Fantastic set.

You're thawing, we have snow and icy roads, 20 degree weather. But, it's December, and it's suppose to be snowy, right?
