Ute Pass is a mountain pass between Colorado Springs and Divide, Colorado. A four-lane highway winds through the pass now, but hundreds of years ago it was a well-traveled trail used by the Native American Ute tribe. High above the highway, a path called Waldo Canyon Trail has been carved out of the mountainside. Come along with Riley and me on this trail and we'll look down and see the sights below! Do you see the huge wire mesh “blanket” covering the cliff wall on the left? It's meant to keep large rocks from falling onto the highway. Looking southeast towards Colorado Springs and the plains beyond.
