Please bear with me on these?.know the quality isn??t what it could be. All shots were taken from my seat in an upper row of the second level of the arena and quite a long way from the stage. Was handholding my Canon Rebel Xti with Sigma 70 ?? 300mm lens which was maxed out!

“I take it not only a day at a time, but a moment at a time, and keep it at that pace. If you can be happy right now, then you’ll always be happy, because it’s always in the now.” -Willie Nelson

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”
-Willie Nelson

The guy on the right with the electric guitar is Willie's 21 year old son, Lukas Nelson, a fabulous musician in his own right.

“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.”
-Willie Nelson

“I've been a long time leaving but I'm going to be a long time gone.”
-Willie Nelson

It came out pretty well on 300mm , except there's some color aberrations on the last one but still the quality is really good! your lucky to be there Marsha!

lovely set. considering the conditions (the distance, the lack of enough light, hand-held zooming etc), these are wonderful

The funny thing is that we are watching Willie right this minute on Austin City Limits! Too funny! These are great shots, especially the first one. It's hard to capture stuff like this, with the distance & the bad lighting. So many concerts don't allow you to bring in cameras, lucky you to be able to take some shots!

I think these are great shots Marsha. #4 in particular looks a real professional job. Great quotes too - especially the one about always being happy now.

Great post and tribute to this dinosaur of the american music. I always liked his music and the peculiar way he sings.
      Very well done Marsha!

Yeah....check out his old worn guitar. He named it "Trigger" and it's been with him for forty years. Never realized his awesome instrumental skills until I saw him in person....amazing talent...
