Tree at the Top of the World

This old dead tree stands at the very top and on the edge
of the overlook at Grouse Mountain in Mueller State Park [parks.state.co.us],
Teller County, Colorado. I met this tree after hiking up the
trail just before sunset last Saturday. The park guidebook
says, “a photographer's dream.”
I couldn't disagree.

Oh these are absolutely stunning. Beautiful and very much deserving of the honor of FP. #4 and #5 are also very captivating, love the sky and the clouds that form the back drop for the tree in #4 and #5 looks as though it came straight out of and old western movie.

Ooooooo, they are so right! Look at all the lines and texture..also those limbs reaching look like they could be in scenes of a creepy movie..It is almost Halloween ya know...love the color in the last one..Well done, Marsha (as usual)..

This tree is only a tree until someone like you turns it into a "photographer's dream"! These are magnificent shots - love the detail in #2, but #4 does it for me! The clouds look like a continuation of the layers of mountains.
