Make it Happen

??It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things."
~Leonardo da Vinci

Brave pioneer woman Adeline Hornbek, left alone with her four children,
took advantage of the Homestead Act of 1862 and built for her family
a successful farm and ranch in the beautiful Florissant Valley of Colorado.
An uncommon woman for the times, she stands as an inspiration and
example of the unwavering spirit of the American pioneers.

Did Leonardo really say that? Whatever, it is very true, and never more so than for the hero of this post, the amazing Adeline.

The way you did edit this is perfect for the theme. Great women and men were often considered crazy... and still are, but they make the difference.

The edit of this scene is superb. It really magnifies the harshness of what life must have been like then. Remarkable accomplishment. And great tribute by your presentation.
