Narrenfest, or festival of fools, (also known as Fasching) is celebrated throughout the Schwäbisch“ and ”Allemanish“ regions of southwestern Germany down into the Basel area of Switzerland. People who participate in this celebration come from many regions throughout central and southern Europe. Behind the hard masks finds one only men - even the ”hags".

I love the masks, all the color and variety. You've done such a great job capturing all the excitement and motion of this celebration. all men though? tradition I guess?
