Obertürkheim is along the Neckar River, which winds through the southern German “Federal Country”, or Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg. It lies between the river, train lines and the Daimler-Benz works on its bank and the vineyard-hill, or Weinberg, found above the town. Wineries are found there as just as they are along many of the towns jutting out from the circumference of the capital of Stuttgart, especially along the Neckar River.
I enjoy hiking along the ridge of the Weinbergs above these towns.
