The Green Steeple

Obertürkheim is along the Neckar River, which winds through the southern German “Federal Country”, or Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg. It lies between the river, train lines and the Daimler-Benz works on its bank and the vineyard-hill, or Weinberg, found above the town. Wineries are found there as just as they are along many of the towns jutting out from the circumference of the capital of Stuttgart, especially along the Neckar River.

I enjoy hiking along the ridge of the Weinbergs above these towns.

This looks like a small wooden toy village made from children's blocks to me. Very neat and tidy town.

Funny how sometimes a photo of a 'German' town looks EXACTLY as I would expect it to look!! Where are all the ugly buildings that don't fit in with the rest??!! :-)))
