Earth Day

by Jay April. 22, 2012 3156 views

At first I wanted to shoot something that actually had “earth” in it. Then I thought, “Hey, water is the sustenance of life on earth, be it human, flora or fauna.”

Unfortunately, as humans we create things that destroy our earth and although we say we care, it is clear we really don't care enough, or there would be greater improvements.

My picture honors that which is required for all of us to live - one of Nature's most valuable gifts - while trying to survive through that which man creates that is not always in harmony with nature.

Still, the future is good. I do not believe it is “too late”. Otherwise, why would we bother? ;-)

Nice! Is this the face of a fountain? There were some interesting Earth Day events happening around the OC yesterday but as my son and his wife were "available" we opted to LA... and viewing a digitally redone "Chinatown". 8^)

Great picture. Water that bind the earth together. Love the concept backing up your theme.

Really beautiful photo and words :) We truly can no longer afford to be thoughtless and careless about that which sustains us and all life on this planet.
