Looking though from without and within

Christmas day in Russikon, Switzerland. The view of the Alps from atop the hill where my Swiss “family” (whose name is not “Robinson”) lives.

Every time I visit, I spend hours on the verandas watching the Alps in the horizon. My camera simply does not do them justice, as they are much closer than the photo allows. The details in the range are simply remarkable.

The alpine range as seen across the Pfäffikersee in Canton Zürich.

Looking through the bedroom windows from a veranda across toward the city of Zürich, on the other side of the low range in the distance.

When I stopped and really looked inside the first shot, I could start to 'feel' it. Do I see a little lake there as well? I know what you mean about the mountains... I run in to the same "problem" here. That second shot is also really intriguing none the less, I really like the layers of information in it.

I love those views from Switzerland. I was there four or five years ago and I was mesmerized by its beauty. Happy new year my friend.

You sound like a very contemplative sort. We would probably get on well.
