Ruined Cookies

We found most of the essential ingredients for making my chocolate chip cookies, keyword here being MOST. Two things went wrong: 1) The brown sugar (bag pictured in the middle) is not finely ground like our brown sugar in the States. 2) They don't have shortening here, so I substituted it with lard. NEVER do this! The cookies were absolutely horrible! Live and learn, right?

      AHHH hahahahahaha! That's an awesome experience. Guess you have to get used to the European way of cooking.
