A Good Screw

I have an old memory that is one of the few that hasn't faded with time. When I was about 12 years old, I had a friend who used to wear a t-shirt from the local hardware store. Back when we had hardware stores, but that is another story. On the front of that shirt was the name of the hardware store. On the back it said, “For a good screw call!” With the picture of a screw underneath.
The things a little boy never forgets!

ok... what you're NOt telling us here is that you DID call and then got utterly disappointed because you didn't get a good screw, just a whopping by your mother! ;-)

Great fun! I have similar memories about a T shirt my dad's company, who dealt with cranes and mining shovels, had printed when they launched South Africa's tallest crane... it was a picture of the crane on the front and the words 'big errection' on the back, I didn't get it at the time, but everybody laughed, so it had to be funny!

Hmmm, pretty rusty at it, I would say. (woops). I know what you mean by those stories. I have some weird ones as well - like tattoos on the brain. Good close-ups, though.
