Local kids roasting cashew traditionally in Casamance, Africa. Cycling from Czech Republic 2014-2015

During my 3rd bicycle journey from Central Europe to Africa I crossed the west Africa for second time. The first time was in 2008 and I came back there and went further south in 2015.

Casamance region was one of my favourite one. It's in the south Senegal beneath Gambia country. Contrary to dry and desertic north Senegal, the south is a green full of life jungle. In the jungle there are plenty of mangoes trees and some cashew trees.

The local people pick the cashew nut and take the juicy cashew fruit away. The fruit is very tasty when is ripe :)

A travel I'm sure you'll never forget. Did you have sone dangerous encounters while cycling in Africa? (animals or humans)

Thank you! :) Yes, indeed, I will never forget and come back to Afria on bicycle again :D
I never had dangerous situations with animals exepct deadly malaric mosquitos who almost killed me 3 or 4 times. I had some situations with a green mamba who I disturbed in copulation unconsciously and the green mamba stood up but jumed back to the river on the waterfall in South Africa. Human like humans can do something not only in defence :)
I will be posting more stories from around 7 years on bicycle in total. but in May I am on the road again back to nomadic life on bicycle :) I went 20 African countries on bicycle and spent almost 3 and half year there :)
