Postcard from Venice
September last year - on a gloomy, then somewhat sunny weather - my 2nd time wandering the streets in mesmerizing Venice

The pouring rain made all the tourists take refuge in Venetian mask stores or intimate restaurants | I had the narrow streets to myself

Special delivery

Inside an abandoned building near "La Bottega dei Mascareri"
Then a few rays of sun decided to brighten up the canals

Stillness
In the afternoon, I decided to take a boat to visit Piazza San Marco and its Palazzo Ducale, but little did I know, the most beautiful view was not from the square

Mirror, mirror
Thankfully, I came back just in time for dinner :)

A table for two, please!
"How sweet the moonlight sleeps upon this bank! Here will we sit, and let the sounds of music creep in our ears: soft stillness and the night become the touches of sweet harmony." William Shakespeare in "The Merchant of Venice"
Interesting enough Lucia, I just came upon your blog and found so many similarities between the photos you posted and the ones I took while vacationing in Venice in June. Your pictures are lovely and bring back that desire to go back soon
I'm happy to hear they gave you that feeling :) thank you for the support!
