Even though I haven't had time to read the article Marjorie linked us to, I still like the idea of looking at everyday objects differently. I collect salt & pepper shakers and this is probably my most favorite set. They are beautiful old, pale yellow glass and it wasn't until I looked at this shot that I saw some of the beautiful work in the glass. Who knows how the “artwork” was done? Not I…but I don't think I'd really noticed how intricate some of it actually is.

I love old things. They have so much more character than the “stuff” that is mass produced these days. I like some of that “stuff” too though!

      I agree with absolutely everything you said. I love old things too. And I really need to try this looking at everyday objects differently. . . I just don't have time to do it yet.
